Handheld Nutrunner Corded Tools

Our controllers manage our high-precision and high-quality handheld tools. Equipped with a massive array of parameters, of which each can be modified directly from the screen. Abnormal tightening is detected from torque, angle, time, and torque rate to prevent tightening errors.

Functions

Error Detection

Mechanism to detect tightening failure

Torque and angle sensors are combined to provide highly accurate feedback to the controller during tightening.
These sensors monitor changes in torque and angle in real time to detect abnormal tightening, screw failure, galling, and other unexpected faults.
Additionally, ESTIC is more flexible with configuration options for error proofing, including rotation speed, angle, and torque stages.

Cross-thread

Crossthead tightening is a phenomenon that can easily occur when the threads on the bolt misallign with the threads in the hole. During initial tightening, the time and angle from the start until the torque reaches the desired value will be extremely short.

ESTIC products detect crossthreading by monitoring these early torque spikes.

Broken Screw

Screw damage is a phenomenon in which galling occurs when the surface of the screw thread is rough, the tightening torque is too large, or particles are adhered to the threads.

ESTIC products detect damaged threads by monitoring torque and angle zones for abnormal spikes.

Double Hit / Rehit

Double Hits occur when a counted tightening process is controlled by hand, and a tightened bolt is "hit" more than once. One or more fasteners are skipped and the system mistakenly passes the process, leaving untightened bolts on "finished" products.

ESTIC products prevent double hits by monitoring angle and time.

Floating Screw

This can easily occur if two bolts of matching threads are used in the same station.

ESTIC can detect incorrect fasteners by monitoring the angle.

Missing Parts

This occurs when tightening is performed without installing needed parts such as O-rings or gaskets. During tightening, torque increase will occur later in the fastening than expected.

ESTIC can detect forgotten parts by monitoring time and angle.

Missing Screw

This occurs when tightening without a bolt due to a bolt feeding or reception failure with an automatic feeder.

ESTIC detects this by monitoring fastening time.

Damaged Thread

Bottom hole failure is a phenomenon that occurs when the depth of the hole is insufficient or tapping is defective.

During this tightening, the hole failure is detected by managing the time and angle until the set torque or angle is reached.

Universal Controller

One control unit can handle all ESTIC handheld tools. When multiple tools are used in the field, no control unit selection is required. Keeping backup units is simple and it leads to cost reduction.

Large Memory Capacity Contributes to Traceability

Various tightening data is saved, such as fastening results history (100,000 entries), Torque curve history (60 entries) and system error history (50 entries) on Handy 2000 Touch.

Network

Communication Technology

Our Handy 2000 Series comes equipped with an all-in-one platform that allows for easy integration and communication with any network infrastructure.
Improve both productivity and quality by making the Handy 2000 Series the centerpiece of your assembly line.

Management Software

This is the dedicated support & management software for all Handy 2000 series controllers.
Basic as well as advanced management functions of Handy 2000 models are supported : Read/write parameters, project data storage & management, tightening result & curve monitoring,
I/O & Fieldbus signal assignment, and more.

*Option

Data Logger

Data Logger is the dedicated traceability software for all Handy 2000 series controllers.
Output data (tightening results & curves) can be safely stored in a database and displayed.
The saved tightening data can also be exported in Excel format for easier data analysis.

Controllers

Handy 2000 Touch

This advanced model improves upon the performance of the Light plus with increased storage capacity and the addition of a touch panel for intuitive operation. The operator can also easily enter or change precise settings and values from the face of the controller.
